Second Look Lobby Day
815 E Grace St
Richmond, VA 23219

People who have worked hard and rehabilitated themselves deserve a second chance.
But in Virginia, thousands of people who’ve proven they’re ready to return to their communities are still serving long sentences.
That’s not right – and we need your help to change it.
Formerly incarcerated people will be in Virginia’s capital on January 17th joining forces with the families of those who are still inside.
Together, we’ll make sure lawmakers understand that people who worked hard to rehabilitate themselves in prison are now home making their communities better.
Let lawmakers know — it doesn’t make sense to keep someone in prison if it isn’t making the public any safer.
We’ll meet at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 815 East Grace Street in Richmond, Virginia to march to the capitol together on Tuesday, January 17th.
We’ll get started at 8 a.m. and wrap up at 1 p.m.
RSVP today. When you do – you’ll get info about our optional free virtual training on January 15th — where we’ll make sure you feel confident and ready to talk to lawmakers.
A Second Look is not a free pass, but it’s a crucial part of creating a pathway home for people who have earned a second chance.
It’s time Virginia had a Second Look law.
