#GivingTuesdayNow Recovery Fund
Nolef Turns Inc. needs your help on this #GIVINGTUESDAYNOW
Family and friends, we need your help….
This Tuesday, May 5, 2020, is #GIVINGTUESDAYNOW. You all know that #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving in November, but COVID-19 has had such a detrimental impact on our lives that we’re doing a global day of giving in May. Will you help us to raise funds to sustain our Pre-Entry and Re-Entry programs?
The past two months have been a roller coaster of emotion and such a pivotal time for criminal and juvenile legal reform. Our allies are calling for the release of thousands of people from local jails, prison and detention centers. It’s not about freeing everyone; it is about dignity, humanity, and survival. Prisons and detention centers are hot beds for the spread of the virus and how could they not be? There’s nowhere to go, tight spaces, no privacy and no room for social distancing. On March 16, 2020, our worlds were turned upside down. We, as an organization who care deeply about people who are impacted by mass incarceration, knew that there would be a massive amount of needs for people who would be soon released into a world that was already designed to be as difficult as possible for them to reunite with. We are pouring our resources into going virtual, supporting returning citizens, and need your support to continue to be able to provide the very necessary re-entry services that nearly 2,000 people will be seeking upon release in the next few months.
Our goal is a modest $5,000 to help with the resources needed to sustain the influx of people who will need our help in the next few months. Can you chip in $20 or more to help us reach this goal? Each donation will be matched so you can double your impact!
